NBG is Presenting Sponsor of AthHalf 2015

For the 3rd consecutive year, NBG is the Presenting Sponsor of the annual Athens Half Marathon (AthHalf 2015). The two-year school is produced and managed by the Georgia Bankers Association in cooperation with the Florida, Louisiana, South Carolina and Tennessee Bankers Associations, and is held at the Georgia Center’s UGA Hotel and Conference Center in Athens, Ga.

Frank Simpson Elected to the Board of Directors of the NBG

National Bank of Georgia SBA Award

Small Business Access Partners (SBAP) recently honored The National Bank of Georgia as its 2013 Small Business Advocate of the Year at a luncheon held at The 1818 Club in Duluth.  This award is given to a bank that supports SBA lending as an important option for its small business clients and has lenders across the bank’s geographical footprint that participate in SBA lending.  SBAP participates as a SBA 504 lender in these projects and wants to honor The National Bank of Georgia for its support of small business lending.

 AthHalf 2013 presented by NBG a HUGE success

NBG was proud to be the presenting sponsor for this year's AthHalf. Over 3,100 runners competed on a beautiful day in Athens, Ga. Twenty-Four of those runners represented NBG as a part of our unofficial "Running Team", and we had over 30 employees volunteer at the event during the Expo on Saturday and at the Finish line on Sunday morning.

Preliminary numbers show that the event raised over $90,000 to support AthFest Educates!, a year-round effort to bring music and arts education to local youth through a variety of ?programs and initiatives. For more information, please visit www.athfest.com.
